I am in love with the LG X120 netbook

I’m glad I held off on getting a netbook. After much research, I really wanted the Asus Eee PC 1000HE. But, after I took one look at the new LG X120 over the weekend, I am IN LOVE. It is fricking gorgeous, and has all the specs as the Eee PC I wanted, plus more. It’s slimmer and lighter, way way way better looking, has a “Smart On” feature which lets you load the computer in a matter of seconds after pressing the on button, without the need to wait for Windows XP to load, and seems to be more my style. Meaning I’ll definitely use it more once we get home, and I won’t be anxious to get a Macbook Pro. Especially if I have my monster iMac desktop. I might not even want one. Yes, I am that superficial when it comes to computers. They have to look sexy!

Now, in the netbook department I know that Asus has a longer history than LG … but I think I might be willing to give LG a chance. It’s gotten great reviews, and they’re a solid brand name. The only downside is that the battery life isn’t AS good as the EeePC, which claim 9.5 hours on a 6-cell battery (highly unlikely). LG claims 7 hours on a 6-cell battery. Oh, and it’s a bit pricier than the EeePC, but not by that much.

So, we’ll see. I want to go back and check out the X120 again, and if it all checks out then I think I might make the purchase in the next month or so.
