This is now officially the worst weekend of the year

We were supposed to spend the weekend packing up my apartment. But unfortunately I got the news that my grandma was very sick, so my cousin and I went back home (he lives in Vancouver too). She passed away about 2 hours after we arrived, so I’m glad that we left right away. And I’m grateful to BF for packing up and moving most of my things for me while I was gone.

I didn’t feel normal enough to work today, so I took the day off so I could be by myself and collect my thoughts. I’ll probably go to my old apartment and pack up a few more things, then come back here and organize stuff.

We will be going to the funeral either on Friday or Saturday, depending on when they can book the time with the funeral home. Then afterwards, there will be a big banquet dinner at a nice restaurant.

In some money-related news, I purchased BF’s birthday present (a shockproof, waterproof, freezeproof digital camera) and gave it to him last night. I think he really likes it, so I’m glad. :) Can’t say the price of it, but it was significant enough that it will be coming out of my Savings Fund.

Also, I purchased a custom-made necklace and bracelet from the Sunday Market to remember my grandparents by. Together, they cost $60. My sister bought herself a ring for $30.
