An update on the fitness front

So over the past couple of months I’ve slowly shed about 8 or 9 lbs. But now I’m stuck. This is my natural weight, and no amount of exercise will get me past this hump. Back when I was a collegiate athlete, I used to work out 5-8 hrs. per day (weights, running, every type of cross-training possible), every day of the week for years (AND with the help of the team nutritionist) – and I still looked exactly the same as I do right now. Maybe a little bit more toned, but basically the same. The only thing that has ever worked to get me down to my desired size is dieting. I very much dislike dieting because I love eating. I know that I’m not fat (size 4-6), and I know that I’m fit because I live an active life. I just want that washboard stomach … and I’m so close. Maybe 5 lbs. away to my absolute ideal body. So I either have to start really watching what I eat, or become happy with my body being at this current weight.

Also, BF just found out that he’s going to have to work for 19 straight days at the end of this month (10-12 hrs. each day). So since that’s the time I’m moving in, I figured I’d use that opportunity to check out the local gym, go for runs to get to know my new neighbourhood, and generally get in as much exercise as possible. Especially because I have field hockey try-outs just around the corner. :)
