Exhausted but happy

What a busy weekend!

BF’s uncle came to visit on Thursday night. Then Friday night, BF’s brother and his family got into town. Saturday was spent running around like crazy all over town. But we bought a new fridge (BF paid for it – it was on sale for $449), and the renovations at his place are coming along nicely. They should all be done before I move in, but everything is on hold while he has family in town. We also made an expensive trip to Costco. $100 later, we had all the things we needed for a big backyard BBQ to feed BF’s family and a few friends that came over (plus all the ingredients for Caesars – the greatest drink ever invented). We have enough left over meat to last us probably for 2-3 months, since we don’t eat that much meat to begin with. Although now that we’ll be living and cooking together more often, perhaps that might change.

My contribution to the weekend was a massive bottle of vodka ($56.15) – the most I’ve ever spent on alcohol in my life. It lasted less than 24 hours, but made countless Caesars for countless people.

Also, yesterday 20+ of us went to a local lake and just hung out for the afternoon. It was nice, and it didn’t rain, so that was a major plus. :) Afterwards, we all went to dinner at the Mongolie Grill (BF treated me).

I spent $46.09 on gas. The first time I’ve had to fill up. We’ve been doing a ton of driving since I bought my car, but it seems to be pretty good on gas. Shuttling people around, picking things up, running errands, etc. While I’m happy to see BF’s family and hang out with all of his friends, I’ll be glad when everything returns to normal and the pace slows down a little.

Oh, and we went to Superstore and I spent $25.87 on groceries for the week. I want to eat a lot of the food that’s been collecting in my freezer, so I didn’t really buy any dinner foods – just lunch and snacky foods like fruit and granola bars.
