I had a couple of people ask if I could post a few of the recipes I’ve been using. So I thought I’d start off by posting my pumpkin pie recipe. BF loves this pumpkin pie. Whenever I make it, he just devours it. It might be the walnut & brown sugar streusel topping. At any rate, the pie usually never lasts more than 24 hrs. :) Not gonna lie, this pumpkin pie is fattening. But it’s also creamy and filling and so yummy. I don’t make it often, maybe 2-4 times per year. Whenever I make pie, I make … Continue reading
Today BF and I sorted out the ICBC paperwork. I gave him $500 for the deductible, and he was able to get part of the rental car paid for by our adjuster. So we’ll have a free rental until Monday (the rental place will charge my credit card, then ICBC will reimburse me the cost). And then we have to figure out what we’re going to do. BF’s brother is coming down with his family and was going to use BF’s car while he was here for a week. So I might have to pay for the cost of their … Continue reading
I am so happy to have BF home. However, it has come to my attention that there is a very real chance that every time he goes away, he might never come back. He says that’ll never happen and I shouldn’t worry about things like that. I know he was trying to make me feel better, but I just got upset. He can’t say that nothing will ever happen to him. That’s not reality. He’s not invincible. When we were at the airport, they were boasting that they almost died a bunch of times, how BF fell into a crevasse, … Continue reading
OMG. How frustrating is Twitter!? I totally understand that they’re growing at a phenomenal rate and it’s hard to keep up. But seriously. Something has to be done! It is so buggy and slow and annoying. It’s taken me 2 days to successfully upload a background picture (check it out!), and every other time I hit refresh, I get that stupid annoying whale. Still, I’m addicted. Maybe even more so than Facebook now. Well, maybe not. But I really enjoy chatting with all of my PF friends (and new online friends who have found me on Twitter and live in … Continue reading
Last night I was supposed to go to spin class, but I had piles of work to catch up on, so I did a little OT. Even though I’m disappointed I didn’t get to try spinning, and I didn’t get to hang out with my friend, I’m glad that I did, because I wouldn’t want to be stuck working OT the next few days, or maybe even on the weekend. And I’m kind of happy that I ended up having to work a bit late because I got to catch Calgary/Chicago – which was such an exciting game! I’m thrilled … Continue reading
