I’ve decided to try out Linkbee.com. What Linkbee does is they shorten your URL (perfect for Twitter – but you could also use it for your blog, or on forums, or Facebook, etc.), and every time someone clicks on the link, you earn money. I guess it’s kind of like Google Adsense. I’ve been reading, and apparently some people make hundreds every month. So I’m going to give it a try for a while. I’m skeptical and not expecting much, but we’ll see. Linkbee.com also lets you earn money for referrals, so if you’re interested in signing up and trying … Continue reading
So, I’ve started to list my stuff for sale. I listed a chair on Craigslist (I already have it sold!) … and then I listed my desk and futon couch as well … but took both of those down immediately because I’m not moving for another month. What am I going to do, sit on the floor? If I price them right, I’ll have them sold quickly anyway. Not in a rush. I also put my old digital camera up for sale on eBay. I noticed there are only 2 other used ones for sale and both have multiple bids … Continue reading
Yesterday was a gorgeous day and I mentioned that we should start hitting around the hockey ball more often now. BF agreed, and then said that since I now have a car, I can probably play hockey here in Vancouver as well. I hadn’t even thought of that! So today I have to take out the $$$ to buy my car. And then I have to figure out ICBC insurance for the car. Because of the car accident, BF dropped from 12 years of safe driving down to 8 years. Not that it matters to him anymore because he doesn’t have a car. However, because he has dropped below 10 years, I think that affects the insurance I get for the car. Because we’ll be living together now, I believe I have to buy extra insurance for him. My mom said it was only an extra $100/year, but … Continue reading
We went to The Brick today to look at couches and a fridge. Our intention was to buy used, but wanted to check out what was available to us new. It’s too hard to explain, but I am very impressed with our negotiating skills. Well BF’s negotiating, since obviously The Brick was a total Boy’s Club. The salesmen didn’t even address me. I don’t even know if they knew I existed. Even when I asked questions, they directed their answers to BF. How rude! Needless to say, we didn’t get exactly what we wanted, and even though we loved the … Continue reading
