Taking the next step

So BF and I talked a bit yesterday about the possibility of me moving in with him sooner than anticipated. We originally talked about moving in together at the end of this year, but we spend basically every night together as it is, so it makes sense to move in sooner. And we would save on time and gas if we didn’t have to shuffle in between my apartment and his place. Plus, we would get to spend more time together, and it would be a lot easier to get things done if I had my things at his house. … Continue reading

A trip to Idaho?

BF leaves for Europe next Thursday. :( I don’t think I’ll be as sad as I was last year when he went to Alaska for 3 weeks, but I’m still going to miss him like crazy. I should probably get used to it. My sister and I are thinking of ditching on the shopping at the outlet mall, and taking an impromptu trip to Idaho for the Easter long weekend. 2 nights. Possibly 3, but it depends. That might get too expensive. We would do everything on the cheap, obviously. Nothing is confirmed, it would totally blow my April budget, … Continue reading

Back home this weekend

This weekend we’re going back to the island ($26 travel round trip). I have a hair appointment ($35 + tax & tip). That’s all I really have planned. There’s a field hockey game I want to watch on Saturday morning (free), and then I think I might be going over to BF’s grandparents house for dinner on Saturday. I have brunch with my family on Sunday (free), and then perhaps a coffee date with a friend. Here’s what I’m budgeting: Friday $13 ferry $10 food with my sister (?) Saturday $5 tea + snack while watching the game $45 hair … Continue reading

Last night BF and I ended up doing nothing. We were going to go skiing, but it was too warm up on the mountain, and I really wasn’t in the mood to go hiking. So we watched hockey, played Boggle, and bought cheap food from T&T (he treated – they discount all of their yummy dim sum and sushi in the evenings). We talked a bit about our travel plans next year. Since we decided to do this trip, we haven’t really done much planning, besides outlining a budget and figuring out the main things we wanted to do. We … Continue reading

Getting back into eBay

I know that eBay times are tough right now for sellers, but I’m still going to try and list some of my things to see what happens this month. I have a digital camera, some nice clothes, even an old laptop I could try to get rid of. Not so much for the money, but more to declutter. I want to get rid of my stuff! And then I remembered that I wrote The GMBMFB Guide to eBaying about 1.5 years ago. It’s still relevant to me today, so I’m going to make sure that I follow all of those … Continue reading
