Looking at furniture

We went to The Brick today to look at couches and a fridge. Our intention was to buy used, but wanted to check out what was available to us new.

It’s too hard to explain, but I am very impressed with our negotiating skills. Well BF’s negotiating, since obviously The Brick was a total Boy’s Club. The salesmen didn’t even address me. I don’t even know if they knew I existed. Even when I asked questions, they directed their answers to BF. How rude! Needless to say, we didn’t get exactly what we wanted, and even though we loved the sofa, decided to walk away from the sale. We aren’t in a rush, so we’re willing to wait.

So, it’s back to Craigslist for us! :)
