After the crash

The events that happened after the crash were such a blur. Fire trucks, ambulance, police, tow trucks, phone calls … chaos. My friend came to pick my sister and I up. Nothing seemed real after that, and we were so grateful that nobody got hurt. It’s a miracle, really.

I spoke to BF’s parents, who were an amazing help. And thankfully BF checked his e-mail, and I was able to talk to him very briefly yesterday. He was very kind and understanding about the entire thing – only cared that we were okay, and said his car meant nothing. I felt a lot better, but still felt awful about it.

Obviously our trip to Idaho was canceled. Instead, my sister and I spent some quiet time together. And today we went shopping in the hopes of cheering up. After 7 hours of unsuccessful shopping, we forced ourselves to buy bras, just so the day wasn’t a total waste.

I ended up going home to the island for the rest of the long weekend. I didn’t think it would be that great for me to be by myself. I’d probably just mope about, be totally emo about everything, and do absolutely nothing.

Worst. Weekend. EVER.
