Booked the hotel room

I booked our hotel room in Idaho. Total cost was $250 CDN for 3 nights … and the hotel is 5 blocks away from where we need to go. For $125/person, that’s a pretty good deal! It comes with free wireless internet, continental breakfast, and free parking. I think one of us will bring a laptop down just because we can.

We could have booked something cheaper and farther away, but when it comes down to it, we would rather be in the heart of town (and within walking distance of everything).

The hotel was SO MUCH CHEAPER booked through Expedia than through the hotel website. In my experience, that’s usually not the case. But perhaps it was because we were booking such a last-minute thing. I think on the website the total came to $376. Massive savings! But you do have to be careful, because I know if you book through a hotel website, you can change and cancel your reservations fairly easily. But through any 3rd party site like Expedia, chances are you can’t change or cancel at all.
