My sister and I are invited to a wedding in May. I’m excited because we both really like this couple (even though we really haven’t known them for very long – or know much about them for that matter), and the reception is going to be at this gorgeous location on the West Coast of the island. Oh, I forgot to tell you that I bought a vintage Calgary Flames jersey from eBay last week! After shipping, it was $33.62. That’s $8.62 over my Clothing budget for March, but that’s okay. It was a great deal (used, of course, but in excellent condition), and I’m really excited to own my first Flames jersey – which is silly, since I’ve been a fan for 10 or 11 years. Maybe. I’m in the middle of working out a deal with a business to customize and manage their website. If this becomes a reality, I’d be thrilled. It would mean ongoing work. I don’t know what their budget is like, so I’ll have to work with it and see what we can agree on. At this point, I’m pretty flexible. Do you remember when the TSX was closing in on 15,000? Man, those were the days … Now I find myself getting excited when we start hovering around 8,000.

Every week I go to the grocery store, and every week I see Real Simple magazine. This month’s cover particularly intrigued me because the cover article was called “Live well on less: 71 ways to spend smarter (and save a lot).” I quickly flipped through it, but didn’t really read it. I perused through the website last night and the articles seem interesting. I wouldn’t mind buying a subscription to it. It’s $34.95 for 12 issues, plus GST/PST.
