It’s been almost a year since I last checked my credit score, so I thought I should probably check it again pretty soon. Back then, my score was 776. Which is pretty good. But I’d like to know what it is now. Since last year, I’ve gotten 1 new credit card and I’ve also taken out a $3,000 loan for my LASIK eye surgery. In Canada, scores range from 300-900, with most Canadians ranking in around the 700s. Back in the day, I used to not care about my credit score – why would I? But now, I’m taking every … Continue reading
Well, I’m kind of sad. The ski season is over – or pretty much over. But I got to go 6 times since I bought my pass, so that’s pretty good. And I have all of next season too. I think we’re going to try to go today after work, but BF went yesterday and said that the conditions weren’t very good. So we’ll see what happens. I haven’t been rock climbing since last weekend, so I’d really like to do that if we could.
I had a pretty good time this weekend. It was great to see old friends and to be back at my PT job. I especially missed hanging out with my sister, so I spent most of my time with her. I’ll be back though in 2 weeks, and probably during the long weekend next month as well. My aunt is a travel agent, and she gave my mom a bunch of adventure travel booklets for BF and I to read through. Of course, I wouldn’t want to book tours like that (don’t want to travel in a group, and it’s … Continue reading
I’ve exhausted but have been having a really good time so far at home. I miss being here. I miss my PT job. I miss my friends. I also miss BF. It’s hard always hanging out with couples and never having him around. A lot of people haven’t even met him yet! And when he does come home with me, he has his own family to see as well. Money-wise, I’ve spent just about what I’ve budgeted. I made about $75 today at the PT job, and I should make another $70-80 tomorrow. :) Anyway that’s all for now. It’s … Continue reading
It’s been really hard trying to not spend money on clothing and shoes. I’ve been dying for a new pair of boots for at least a year – but I just haven’t mustered up the courage to buy a pair. I found a gorgeous pair last fall that was perfect, but I didn’t get them. Why? Because why should I do that to myself? The $200 or whatever I would spend on them is better off being saved for my trip – and even if I did get them, I’d just wear them for one season and they’d go into … Continue reading
