LASIK check-up today: one month later

Today I have my one-month check-up at the LASIK eye centre.

It’s still strange not having to wear glasses. I’m constantly looking for them, trying to adjust them on my face, and squinting hard when I’m trying to read something far away. Then I feel like a loser when I realize what I’m doing. :)

My eyes are still quite dry. I’ve been noticing it more over the past week or so. I think it’s because I haven’t been putting my eye drops in as frequently, and I might be tiring out my eyes. I’m constantly staring into a computer screen for work, and in my spare time I’m doing things that are a strain on my eyes – like staring at bright snow for a prolonged amount of time.

Overall, I am really glad I got this surgery done. Even though it was quite expensive, it was definitely worth it. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, I’m still glad that I chose the more expensive surgery. Better to be safe than sorry when it comes to something like your eyesight, right? It’s changed my life, and has really given me the freedom to be more active. I no longer get frustrated when I’m exercising and my goggles fog up, or when it starts raining.
