LASIK check-up today

This morning I have to go for my 1-week follow-up appointment. Everything seems fine. My eyes are still quite light sensitive, and by about 2 or 3pm I get really tired and I just want to close my eyes in a dark room. I’m still putting in my eye drops every 30-45 min. I have extremely dry eyes anyway, so with the surgery they wanted to make sure that I’m always putting drops in. I don’t have to wear my sunglasses inside anymore (just outside) … but sometimes I like to wear them because my eyes get too tired. It’s … Continue reading

Potential trip to San Francisco

My parents and sister are probably going down to San Francisco in late July or early August. I want to go with them, since we haven’t done a family trip since I was about 12, we have relatives down there I haven’t seen in about a decade, and I’ve never been to SF before. It would be a really good opportunity to be together as a family. But there are 2 factors that are stopping me from going: I only get 2 weeks vacation per year. Movie Date with the Girls

Last night I took the bus to Metrotown ($2.50), and met 2 of my friends. We ate at the food court for dinner ($6.51) and then grabbed a Tim Horton’s iced cap ($1.30) as we walked to the movie theatre. He’s Just Not That Into You is a super cute movie. Loved it! And I’m not usually one for chick-flicks. I still can’t believe how many famous actors and actresses they got to be in that movie. BF said he wants to see it too, so I’m sure we’ll rent it when it comes out on DVD. I rarely buy … Continue reading

A Wednesday Morning Rant

< rant > I hate when you walk into a more expensive store, and the people that work there are so snooty! They act as if I could never afford to buy anything there. Just because I don’t dress like a rich person, and just because I don’t make a ton of money, does not mean I can’t afford to buy something at your stupid store. < /rant >

Tonight’s plans

Tonight I’m going to see He’s Just Not That Into You with two girlfriends. We’re going to grab dinner at a mall food court first (cheaper than a restaurant – so maybe around $5 or $6), and I have a free movie ticket so it should be a relatively cheap night. Although the bus is going to cost me $5 round trip. There is a pair of Mountain Hardware pants that I have been dying to buy since I saw them on Boxing Day. Gorgeous pants. Perfect for hiking. They’re now on sale for $69 (down from $100). I haven’t … Continue reading
