Internet Explorer sucks

I haven’t used Internet Explorer in years. I’m a Firefox gal.
But today for some reason, about every 2-3 minutes or so I keep getting an error: “Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”
Why? I’m not even using IE. I’m not doing anything different than what I would normally be doing at work. So why all the error messages? WHY INTERNET EXPLORER, WHY!? I HATE YOU!!!
