I need a vacuum

I need to buy a vacuum. I’ve tried just borrowing BF’s, but his is an industrial vacuum and it’s big and clunky and doesn’t work for cleaning carpets. It’s meant for a workshop.

So. I need to buy my own. I have one of those broom vacs, and it sucks. What I want is a good quality vacuum; one that will last me for a while. I want to spend under $200, and after looking around at the different models at London Drugs, Wal-Mart and Costco, I think I can get one for my price range. I know to get the best vacuum you need to spend way more money, but I don’t think I need the top of the line – and I also can’t afford it. Plus, it’s not like I need to vacuum an entire house – I need to use it for a tiny apartment. And let’s face it, for the next 5-6 years of my life I’ll be living in apartment-sized places.

I am going to try to work in buying a vacuum into my March budget.

Does anyone own a vacuum for under $200 that they love?
