Where is my wallet?

I can’t find my wallet. I haven’t used it since Wednesday evening when I went grocery shopping, but it could really only be at my house, or at BF’s house. Unless I dropped it somewhere, or it got taken out of my purse, etc. Uggg. Hopefully I can find it this evening, because I’ll probably need it this weekend. If I weren’t worried about someone stealing my money and credit cards and ID, it would kind of be an interesting experiment to see how long I could go without spending a single dollar.

My stuff is weighing me down

I have too much “stuff.” I need to declutter – give things away, sell things – do whatever it takes. But lately I’ve been feeling weighed down. And this is after only bringing “the essentials” with me when I moved to Vancouver! What I think I’m going to do is slowly itemize what I own, and then figure out what I use, and what I can get rid of. Then, I’ll see what I can sell on Craigslist, eBay, consignment stores, etc, and give the rest away to goodwill. I don’t have the time or energy to list and monitor … Continue reading

A trip to Alberta in 2 weeks?

BF and I are planning on going to Alberta from Feb 6-9th to visit his family. My LASIK surgery is on Feb 5th, so it’s not going to be that great of a trip for me, but I’m excited. We saw his parents at Christmas, but we haven’t seen his brother’s family since last summer. We were originally going to drive out there. I have no problem driving, because I like road trips and the drive through the Rockies is very pretty. But his mom offered to pay for us to fly out there instead. I guess the roads are … Continue reading

Dine Out Vancouver

I really, really want to do Dine Out Vancouver. It’s basically a 2-week celebration of BC food and wine (Jan 14-Feb 1). You can get a 3-course dinner at over 180 of Vancouver’s hottest restaurants for $18, $28 or $38 per person – depending on the type of restaurant. A lot of these places would normally cost a lot more for the same type of meal. BF and I have been to 2 restaurants on the list and they were absolutely delicious. Some of the best food I’ve ever had. But how would we even go about picking a restaurant … Continue reading

Twitter Happy

I feel so popular, I have Twitter friends now. :) Twitter is super duper creepy though. I wrote a quick note about my favourite band (about how Neal Casal is not – and will never be – as talented as Ryan Adams), and literally 2 seconds later they started following me on Twitter. Apparently they can track users using keywords. I didn’t know Twitter was so powerful. Guess I’ll watch what I say next time. :)
