My cable doesn’t work

I can’t get my cable to work on my TV. I ordered the Shaw digital receiver (for an extra $3 per month for clearer picture/sound and 40 extra channels), and last night BF and I tried to figure it out. It’s all hooked up correctly, but it’s just not working. And after spending over 20 min. on hold with Shaw, I gave up. VERY frustrating. I’ll try to call them today to see if they can help.

Reasons why I ordered the receiver? I’ve heard AMAZING reviews about it, and since I have an HDTV, this seemed like a good alternative to actually getting the HD box and doing all that expensive stuff. Plus, 40 extra channels? Yes please. I only get 28 channels now, so even getting 40 extra crappy channels is better than what I have. The $3 for the receiver is just the monthly rental fee – if I like the receiver, I can buy it for $98 … but I just wanted to try it out for now.
