Cruising my way to Alaska

I’m getting excited about this trip to Alaska. Most of the time when I travel, I like planning my own itinerary and figuring out the things that I want to see and do – but I’m pretty stoked about this cruise. For once, I can just sit back and relax. It’s going to be great, and I’m glad I’m doing it with my sister.

We found a good deal for $679 per person (plus $123 in taxes/fees, so $802 each) for near the end of August with Royal Caribbean. That’s probably the one we’re going to book. It’s cheaper in May and June, but we might both still be working at the PT job by then, and we don’t want to chance it and book something we might not be able to go on. Plus, it’ll be nicer in August. :)

We’re going to talk about it this weekend and book the trip by Sunday, because I can’t help but thinking that $679 is probably a pretty good deal (based on the research I’ve done), and it might not be worth the risk to wait and book (what if it sells out?) just to save an extra $50 or $60.
