A friend owes me money

A friend of mine owes me $120 from a couple of shows we went to that I paid for with my credit card. When I talked to him last week, he said he’d put a cheque in the mail. But when I talked to him yesterday, he said that he hasn’t yet, and might need that money for a down payment on a new car. But he will. Soon.
Sigh.
It’s not that I need the money, because he’s owed it to me for a few months now and I’ve paid the credit card. But it would be nice to have it. $120 may not be a lot for some people to write-off as a “friend” expense … but $120 is a lot to me!
