Goodbye scooter?

I am considering selling my scooter. Since I’ve lived here in Vancouver, I’ve driven it only a handful of times. I’m not comfortable riding it on the mainland, with such crazy, rushed drivers everywhere … and I don’t think I ever will be. Even when I need to get somewhere, and it would be so much more convenient to ride my scooter, I either walk or take public transportation. I don’t even think of my scooter as a transportation option anymore, so that’s why I know I wouldn’t regret selling it.

It was perfect for my hometown, where there’s way less people, there are no freeways and highways connecting the different parts of down, and generally everything goes at a slower pace. But right now, it’s just sitting in my parking stall, collecting dust.

So. I bought it 2 years ago for $2,200. I put $800 worth of upgrades on it, and as of earlier this year, it was the only scooter in the province of its make and model with this particular race kit upgrade.

Anyway, I was thinking of listing it on Craigslist. Probably for $2,000 OBO. Ideally I’d like to get $1,800 for it, but it might be unrealistic in November. I could wait until the spring, but I might as well list now and see what happens.
