Tonight is the Backstreet Boys concert at GM Place! I’m going with a couple of friends, and it should be a really good time. I haven’t heard any of the new BSB songs, so they’d better play a bunch of oldies. And I swear, if any of the girls around me start crying and doing the hand-reaching thing (we’re in the upper level of GM Place), I will walk right out of the arena. Before the show, I’m meeting the girls for dinner. So that should be about $15-20.
Well, it’s been 1.5 weeks, and I haven’t heard back from the dream job yet, so I’m assuming I didn’t get selected for the second round of interviews. They said if I was chosen, I’d hear back within a week. It’s really disappointing, because I have the skills and the experience – but with jobs like that with companies like that, it’s really all about who you know. So, no worries. This past weekend I went camping with 2 good friends. It was a really fun time, despite being poured on for most of the weekend. My only complaint was that it wasn’t warm enough to go for a dip in the lake. All in all, I spent about $100 for 3 nights of camping – which included food, alcohol, firewood and camping fees. Well, I decided to max out my EF by taking the money out of my Condo Down Payment Fund. My original EF goal was $3k. I’ve upped it to $5k, but I’m just going to set it up to automatically transfer $50 bi-weekly into the EF. $3k right now is enough for 4 months worth of expenses if I suddenly lose my job or something – and if things got really really tough, I could either move home for a while, or with BF. $3k makes me comfortable, so I’m content to just slowly and steadily build up the EF … Continue reading
