How was your weekend?

I’m exhausted, but it was a fun weekend. My friend looked gorgeous in her wedding dress, the food was delicious, and even though there were a couple of hiccups during the ceremony, all in all it was a great time. And I got to spend time with my best friend from high school (can’t wait for her wedding in 2 weeks!). I was happy that BF got to meet a few more of my friends, and he seemed to have a good time as well, even though he didn’t know anyone.

My friend and I split the cost of the wedding gift, and spent about $80 each. The ferry was $150 round trip (BF is going to pay me back for half the cost). I also bought a silver clutch ($30), some shoe grips ($5), and a random $60 (cash) that I didn’t keep track of. Plus $150 for my share of 2 night’s accommodation. So, not too shabby. I think after it was all said and done, I spent about $700 on the wedding – which was right on track with what I had budgeted.

Anyway, after I dropped my friend off at the airport last night, we went out for dinner with my parents, and my sister and her boyfriend before we left to get back to Vancouver. All my mom could talk about was when I was 1) going to have babies, and 2) going to get married. In that order. It was embarrassing, but typical.

My dad just bought an AMAZING new LCD TV. I’ve been wanting a new TV for a while now, but I will have to do some research and see what I can afford. Right now, with all the moving expenses and the other wedding, I don’t think I can get anything for a while. Maybe during the Boxing Day sales.

Since I’ve been gone, I’ve gotten a TON of e-mails from readers. I’m going to try to answer them on this blog, because it would take me a long time to respond to each person individually. I hope that’s okay.
