I had to pay $29.65 to the dentist today for the portion that my medical didn’t cover (to fix my cracked veneer for the second time).
I don’t have extended health anymore, but I have a dentist appointment tomorrow to get the veneer replaced. When I went in last Saturday for the fitting, nobody mentioned money … and my dentist said that it shouldn’t have happened/wasn’t my fault. I don’t think I should have to pay for a cracked veneer when I’ve had it for less than a year, and I’ll tell them that tomorrow. If I had health care, it would have at least covered 50% of the cost … but if for some reason I have to pay for the entire thing, that’ll run me about $1,200. Not cool.
As for health care with the new job – there are only 2 of us in this division of the company that are salaried employees, eligible for benefits. We both have to sign up for the benefits package, or neither of us gets it. I handed in my papers last week, but the other woman has yet to hand in hers. I asked her, and I don’t think she wants the health care – which really sucks for me, because I need the health care – even though it’s only a 50-50 split.
