I’m getting excited for the wedding

It was $105 to get my dress altered. At a place in the mall. That seems expensive … my friend (who lives in Ontario, and is also a bridesmaid) also said that her dress was huge, and it was $85 for her to get hers taken in. So I guess $105 is reasonable, considering this is Vancouver, and she lives in a small town.

The bride said that she would pay us back for the alterations, but I feel like just telling her not to worry about it. She has enough on the go right now. I guess I’ll wait to see what the other bridesmaids do. $105 is decent amount of money, but it’s not that big of a deal.

A few weeks ago, I e-mailed the bride and asked her to keep me informed on the dates of the wedding shower and the bachelorette party. She said that she would, but I still haven’t heard anything. So I e-mailed her, and she said that her shower is going to be on a week day, and her bachelorette is this Friday night, if she has one at all. She won’t know until sometime on Friday.

I told her that I can’t come back on a week day, since I just started a new job and this is not much notice … and as for the bachelorette, I told her that I would try really hard to go. She said that it would cost anywhere between $60-100 per person, because she wants to rent a party bus and stay in a fancy hotel downtown.
