Extended health care

My stupid veneer is cracking again. I don’t have an appointment to see my regular dentist on the island until September 13th, so my dentist here in Vancouver has squeezed me in this afternoon to get the piece re-cemented on. Thankfully, this was covered under my benefits plan the last time I had to get this done, so I’m assuming it will again.

I went to the chiropractor yesterday, and it was amazing. Just one session, and I’m feeling a lot better. He’s recommending 12 sessions for me which would be okay, since it’s covered under my extended health … but if by some miracle, I get a new job soon, I will either have to pony up the money, or wait until I’m covered again.

Also, they do custom orthodics, so I’m going to go get those done on Tuesday at my next appointment. I think I have $250 covered under my benefits.

In other health care news, I finally bought prescription sunglasses! They are Adidas, and they are amazing light, and they don’t fall off my nose. The frames were originally $345, but I got them on sale for $195. The total cost for them was $380.35, and my extended health covers $200 of that. So my total out of pocket expense is going to be $180.35. I guess instead of putting that $220 mystery shopping money into my EF, I should use it to pay for these sunglasses. I can’t afford $180, so the money would have had to come out of my EF anyway.
