Give Me Back My Five Bucks

The new intern in the office is sitting in a cubicle next to me, and seriously, I don’t think he could have the volume turned up any louder on CD player. I can barely think anymore. And I swear, if that kid sings along to Gwen Stefani’s Hollaback Girl one more time, I am going to throw my computer monitor in his face.

Last week, I made a yummy dish for BF and I – Stuffed Peppers with Yves Veggie Chicken and Vegetables. It was pretty good, although I forgot to add the tomato paste, which would have made a huge difference. It was still good, but I won’t forget to use it the next time I make this delicious and healthy recipe. For those who haven’t tried the Yves Veggie Chicken before (I’ve previously only tried the Ground Round), it’s amazing. Seriously. Well, it looks like I’ll be going to Vegas from Nov. 9-12th. After taxes and everything, the round trip flight and 3 nights at a 4-star hotel should cost us around $350 US each. Pretty good if you ask me! I’m excited because I’ve never been to Vegas before … and while I’m not a big drinker or gambler, I think Las Vegas is a place you should definitely go to at least once. I spent the entire morning cursing myself for forgetting to bring my glasses to work. Then, I went to the washroom, and when I was washing my hands, I looked at my reflection in the mirror, and saw that I was wearing my glasses. Wow. And the sad thing is, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened to me.

Travel plans are being changed up for the summer. A good friend and I were supposed to go to Kelowna for the August long weekend. But she was too late in booking accommodation, and now everything is full. So we’re scrapping the trip, and she’s proposing a trip to Vegas in November. For a flight and 3 nights at a 4-star hotel on the strip, it’s only $340. Which is pretty much what we would be paying to go to Kelowna. We’re both going to think about it for a few days.
