Well, I have to buy my plane ticket to Ontario today if I want to take advantage of the seat sale. I just priced it out from Vancouver-Toronto, and after taxes and everything through WestJet, I’m looking at $586. Not bad! Through Expedia, it’s $566, but they have a non-refundable policy, so for the extra $20 to book through WestJet, I can at least get a credit to my account if for some reason I won’t be able to go.

I’ve also decided to tell the bride of the wedding in September that I will not be able to attend her bachelorette party or wedding shower. I honestly don’t have the money to travel back to the island so often, especially when I have to pay for a plane ticket out to Ontario for this other wedding. And seriously, as selfish as it sounds, I don’t think I’d have a good time because I’m really not into the whole ‘bachelorette party’ scene. Not my style.

This will bring down the costs of the first wedding considerably.
