I’m going to Vegas!

Well, it looks like I’ll be going to Vegas from Nov. 9-12th. After taxes and everything, the round trip flight and 3 nights at a 4-star hotel should cost us around $350 US each. Pretty good if you ask me! I’m excited because I’ve never been to Vegas before … and while I’m not a big drinker or gambler, I think Las Vegas is a place you should definitely go to at least once.

My friend just called to say that Madonna and Elton John are performing while we’re there, and that she also wants to see a Cirque show (nope). I really have no desire to do any of those things, so if she wants to go do those things, I know she won’t mind going by herself ($75 are the cheapest tix to see Madonna, and I don’t really want to spend that kind of money on her). Besides, I have no problems walking the strip by myself for a couple of hours, drinking dollar margaritas. :) I do want to see at least one show though if I can afford it, but I can figure that out later.

I’m pretty sure that I can keep this trip under $500 US. That gives me about $150 for spending money. My sister spent a night in Vegas a few months ago and only spent like $20. I might pick up a couple of Christmas presents while I’m there, but that would come out of my Gift Fund. We’ll see. Either way, this is going to be a cheap vacation.
