Weekend plans are canceled

BF and I were supposed to go hiking/camping this weekend, but today he was told he has to work on Saturday. :( I was really looking forward to going, so I’m pretty disappointed … but I think we might go for a day hike on Sunday instead.

And Z and I have tentative plans to do a 20km hike on Saturday, so it will kind of be like I’ll be hiking all weekend. Just without the camping … which is, unfortunately, the best part.

Last night, BF and I went on a double date to The Cannery, which is a kind of expensive seafood restaurant. I treated because I owed him $35 from a recent trip to Costco, and also this was my way of giving back to him in lieu of giving him money for gas (which he still refuses to let me do, even after reading yesterday’s post). The food was delicious (even though the waitress forgot my drink), but I’m still really ticked off about how the bill was split. It’s kind of complicated to explain, but our portion of the bill was $15 cheaper than their portion, yet for some reason we ended up paying way more. They left a ridiculously small tip, which meant we had to make up for it.

I threw a small temper tantrum when BF and I got back to my place, because I hate tipping to begin with, but to have to tip extra to make up for my friend’s lack of tip … well that got me going. Oh well. What’s done is done.
