Oh, the summer months

Yesterday after work, I took the SkyTrain to meet up with BF. We went and picked out the last of the clothing I’ll need for hiking/camping this summer/fall. Afterwards, he treated me to dinner at this hole-in-the-wall Japanese/Chinese restaurant right by my house. The entire time, we were the only people there … but the food was pretty good (despite them not having any duck … grrr). I’d definitely go again.

Tonight we’re going to FigMint for dinner. This is my treat – a late birthday/6-month anniversary dinner. It’s kind of silly to celebrate a 6-month anniversary (what, are we 15?), but he deserves to be treated to a nice dinner out. I’ve been salivating over the menu for about 7 or 8 months now, so I’m pretty happy that we’re finally getting to go.

In other money news, I just spent $63.90 on a camping reservation for the September long weekend up in Golden Ears. The girl I’m planning it with paid me back $25 in cash. She was going to pay for it with her credit card, but it got declined – whoops! I told her that I would pay the extra $13.90 because we’ll be using her car to get there. But if there’s one thing I hate doing, it’s paying for camping. I despise it. But I’m going with people who really only have experience camping in these kinds of places, so I don’t mind. Plus, so far my cost is only $38.90 for a long weekend mini-vacation … and the only other things I think I’ll need to get for that weekend is food and alcohol. It’ll be fun and a nice, relaxing time by the lake. :)

And finally, in the next couple of weeks I should start getting paid out for my mystery shopping. That’s about $280 I’m expecting, so we’ll see what happens.
