I heart camping

Since BF and I aren’t going to Edmonton for the August long weekend anymore, a girlfriend and I are going to take a road trip to Kelowna and stay at a cute B&B on the lake. It’ll be great! We haven’t gone on a trip together since we took a road trip to Anaheim in 2001, so I’m stoked. It’ll also be relatively inexpensive … just my share of gas, 2 nights of accommodation, and maybe a wine tour. The rest of the time, seriously, I just want to play in the lake and hang out in the sun.

Along with going camping this coming weekend (!!!), BF and I have also made plans to go camping on the island for July 18-20. I’m really excited for that. Hopefully we end up going. I love camping in places where there are no other people around, and I can feel like I’m the only one in the entire world … and the island has some wonderful places like that.

Anyway, Z and I might also be going on a weekend camping/hiking trip for July 25-26th … I just threw those dates out there at him, and he hasn’t gotten back to me yet. My fingers are crossed, because that would be the balls. Seriously. We’ve already planned out where we’d want to go, and it looks awesome.

I’m also excited to go pick out my new gear on Wednesday morning with BF. Like I said a few days ago, it’s going to be pretty expensive … but it’ll last me for years and years, so I consider it an investment. And my trusty Travel Fund will help me foot the bill. :)
