I spent a lot of money this month. A LOT. In fact, it kind of disgusts me how little I ended up saving (I kept putting $$ into my Travel Fund, but spent more than I deposited … so that was kind of lame). I had to pay off a bunch of pricey things this month:
- $75 – Wolf Parade concert tickets. For BF and I. We’ll be meeting up with 2 of my friends at the show. Plus it’s at the Commodore, which is going to rock.
- $210 – Backstreet Boys concert tickets. The other girls are paying me back … but one won’t until she gets back from Australia in August.
- $170 – Blue Jays/Mariners tickets. For BF and I.
- $315 – Mom’s Christmas present. My sister will pay me back half when I see her this weekend, I guess.
- $300 – shopping in the USA. Includes BF’s birthday present, and some power shopping at the Tulalip outlet mall.
- $100 – gas. For when I used BF’s car for 3 weeks. It seems high, but that paid for my trip to Seattle and back, 3 trips to the ferries, and driving to work every day (I’m disgusting, I know).
- $85 – Cirque du Soleil ticket. In hindsight, I shouldn’t have gone to this show. But at least now I know, and I’ll probably never see another Cirque show in my life.
Just looking at that list makes me want to die a little inside. I’ll be getting about $300 back when my sister and my 2 friends pay me back, so that will help. I guess it wasn’t too bad, because I still ended up coming out cash-positive for the month.
Next Wednesday, BF and I are going out to a nice restaurant – my treat (it’s a part of his birthday present). I’ve budgeted this into my monthly expenses (June Dining Out Challenge), so I’m not worried.
Speaking of monthly challenges, have you signed up for the July Transportation Challenge yet!?
