My sister and one of my cousins want me to come with them up-island to visit my uncle this weekend. I really should visit him, but do I want to be traveling 5 of 5 weekends this month? Traveling back home makes me so tired. I hate the ferry with a passion. It’s always so crowded, and you have to fight for your life to even find a seat for the 1.5 hr. ride. This is my only free weekend in March, and it will be my first free weekend since I moved here. BF won’t even be in town, … Continue reading

Whoops. This blog was created on February 25, 2007. It seems like just a few weeks ago I was snooping through the blogs Canadian Capitalist, Life and Debt in Chicago, An English Major’s Money, Single Ma, and Well-Heeled. Including 3 months where I was unemployed and living off … Continue reading
I need to get my hair cut sometime this month. But at $57 (plus a $10 tip), it’s not cheap. I’ve experimented with going to cheaper places before, but I always hate the cuts they give me, and always end up going back to my regular hair dresser. I’ve been going to her for 5 years, and when she went on maternity leave for a year, I just didn’t get a hair cut for the entire time she was gone. :) Maybe a little extreme, but I find she’s the only one who’s ever known how to cut my hair … Continue reading
Well, the weekend is almost over, and I went a little over budget from the $50 I anticipated spending. $11.80 ferry $22 sushi dinner for my sister and I $5 movie $5 bubble tea $11.80 ferry TOTAL SPENDING = $55.60 The sushi dinner was out of the ordinary, but she bought dinner for me the last time I was in town, so it was really my turn. All in all, it was still pretty cheap for a weekend home.
