Ever since I moved over to Vancouver, I’ve sort of neglected any sort of “working out,” which is a shame because I was really getting into a fitness routine back in January. This past weekend when I was home, I was playing field hockey and really noticing that I was getting tired a lot faster than normal. Not cool.

So I’ve started to walk to work again (90 min. round trip). It’s not much, but every little bit counts, right? And I have to start running again. I’m reluctant to run because I’m scared of getting lost. I don’t know this area very well, aside from the streets that I walk along every day … and they’re really too busy to be running along. But I’m going to have to do it sometime, so I might as well do it now.

Apparently tomorrow evening, I have a meeting from 6-8pm to attend. What company schedules meetings during the evenings, when everyone is around in the office during regular working hours? I checked all of our Outlook calendars, and we’re all free during the day, so it’s not like this was the only time we could fit the meeting into our schedules. It doesn’t make any sense to me. And why is it at 6pm, not at 5pm when the work day ends? What am I supposed to do for that extra hour in between? Work some overtime for free, I guess.
