I got called for 2 more interviews today: A part-time position in Vancouver with a recreation association … and that is something I’m very interested in. The PT position would be around 21 hrs/week, and has a salary of about $27,500 (or just over $25/hr). Well, I survived the 4 hr. drive to the interview and back … although it was sketchy. The roads were maintained a lot better than I thought they would be, but it was snowing pretty hard, and the wind just kept swirling the snow around, making it hard to see anything. The interview itself went pretty well. It was quite intimidating – a 3 panel interview, each of them with their own desk, set up in a semi-circle around me. I just remembered something – I was going through the security check at the airport this morning, and the security guards confiscated my shampoo, conditioner, face wash and face cream! They said that it was their rule not to allow bottles over 50 ml onto the aircraft, but how was I to know that? The last time I was on a plane was in 2005, and I definitely brought many bottles over 50 ml with me in my carry-on. Well, here I am in Edmonton … and I have to say, I’m really glad I came here.
