Winding down, ramping up, and applying like mad

Not much new to report. Work at the full-time job is slowly winding down. I’m about 85% of the way through my final big project, and then it’s just tying up the loose ends before I leave. I’m sad that my year is up with them, but I’ve made some industry contacts and some good friends out of it, and that’s all that I could have asked for from a great experience like this.

Work has also been good at the part-time job as we’re ramping up for the season. All of my staff have returned, which makes it a lot less stressful than having to train a new team. We have one new team member, and she’s fitting in quite nicely. I’m also actively recruiting for another one or two more employees, and I think I have a lead on one, so I’m happy with that.

I’m still applying for jobs like mad, although I’ve started to look more at the growth opportunities at the companies I’m applying for, and not so much the salary range. There are some amazing jobs that I’ve seen and have applied for, so my fingers are crossed! It’s just too bad most of the jobs I’m applying for have closing dates of mid-November … meaning there’s a very good chance I’ll be unemployed for at least a little bit of time.

Also, my Google PR jumped up to 4 (from 2) this week, so I’m really happy. This has opened up so many new PPP opps … and I haven’t been writing sponsored posts lately because the payout just hasn’t been worth it for me. Perhaps now with these new opps, I’ll start to write a bit more. It’s not like I couldn’t use the cash! :)
