The BF and I both have Rogers Wireless as our cellphone providers. I’ve had service with them for about a year longer than he has, but for some reason he was able to call up their customer care line, and got put on a sweet plan with more benefits than me, and for $10 less/month!

I think that’s outrageous for me to be paying more than him. I’ve never gone over my minutes, and it’s supposed to be a $20 plan. But after the $10 bundle for voicemail/call display/text messaging, and the $6.95 system access fee, 911 charge, and tax, it comes to about $43/month.

So I called Rogers customer care and tried to see if I could get on that same plan as the BF. I was more than willing to sign up for another 3 yr. contract, so I figured they would work with me. The first time I called this afternoon, I spoke with a woman who flat out denied me anything. Then just now, I got off the phone with a girl who again denied me, and basically said I must be making the BF’s plan up because something like that doesn’t exist for so cheap. If it doesn’t exist, then how come I can read the plan off of his cell phone bill?

It’s such a crock. I know so many people who have amazing plans with Rogers – who are either getting more for their money, or are paying way less than me for the same service. And my point is not that I think I’m paying too much for the service … it’s that the BF has a better plan than me for less money for no good reason, and I want it too!

The last girl I spoke to informed me my ETF is $200, so I can’t cancel in a blind rage just yet.
