I just snagged a ticket in ROW 2 (dead centre) for the Ryan Adams concert!!! As a person who absolutely loves seeing live music (but doesn’t get to see much of it anymore because it’s darn expensive!), there’s nothing better than being so close to the stage that the band is practically sweating on you.
None of my friends could confirm that they would want to go to the show for sure, so I ended up just buying a ticket for myself. I’ve never been to a concert by myself before, let alone one in Vancouver, but it won’t be that bad. Whenever I go to concerts with friends, we see people there by themselves all the time. And it’s not like I’m one of those people who needs friends to define who I am, but it’s still weird planning a concert trip by myself.
The ticket was $60.10 US ($40.50 ticket, $15 shipping UPS, $4.60 service fee). That is some expensive shipping for a tiny little ticket! But there was nothing I could do about it – if I waited until they went on sale to the general public through Ticketmaster on Thursday, there’s no way I would have gotten such a great seat. In fact, I just logged in to see what kind if seat I could have gotten if I bought the tickets now, and I’d be so far back I would barely be able to see the stage. So I’m glad I paid a little extra to get a great seat. It’s going to be worth it.
