As soon as I switched my investments over, the market just had to take a dive, didn’t it? Just my luck. At least I didn’t have much invested … but starting tomorrow when my first direct deposit into my mutual funds happens ($500 divided into 4 different e-funds – one Canadian, two U.S funds. and an international index fund), there’ll be more at stake. I’m excited and nervous at the same time (more nervous than excited), because I’ve never really invested in anything before besides my RRSP mutual fund … and while I know a little bit about investing, this is my first time putting my own knowledge to the test. Although I must admit, I used the TD Portfolio Planner to help me out … and I didn’t follow it exactly because my fixed income isn’t going to be housed at TD, but I did the best I could.
